About Villa View Global

Villa View Global began on a cliff above Cannon Beach, Oregon, watching the sun drop behind Haystack Rock. We started reviewing local beach houses because we cared about one thing more than almost anyone else seemed to: the view. Not just whether a property had one, but how it framed the world, how the light moved through the day, and whether you could actually relax into it.

That obsession eventually carried us across the Pacific. When we first traded the grey horizons of Oregon for the humid, golden dusk of Bali, our whole idea of what a "view" could be turned upside down. In Seminyak we learned that the most spectacular outlook is often an internal one — a garden, a pool, a temple shrine glimpsed through a canopy of palms. Today we write about beach villas and coastal escapes from both worlds, and everywhere in between.

Our writing covers four things we genuinely care about: honest villa reviews, the art and science of a great sunset, the moods and hazards of the ocean, and the practical business of travelling well along a coast. We are not a booking agency and we do not chase press trips. We write for travellers who, like us, believe that where you stand to watch the day end matters.

The site is written and edited by Marcus Reyes and a small circle of contributors who share the same weakness for a good terrace at golden hour. If you would like to reach us — with a tip, a correction, or a property you think we should see — we would love to hear from you. Drop us a line via our contact page and we will always reply.
