Guest Comments “Glorious weather with a minus 2 foot tide one morning. Exploring the rocks was amazing. A pair of black oyster-catchers nested on Haystack and hatched two chicks on the 9th, the first successful nesting of these birds. Very exciting! The Coast Players presented “Auntie Mame” to a full house on Saturday. Wonderful performance. Really a great evening. The most comfortable, enjoyable visit to the Oregon Coast. VillaView is the best. Perfect weather provided a backdrop for flying kites, exploring tide pools, watching birds, building sandcastles, picnics on the beach, walks in town and Osburn’s ice cream every night after dinner (the peppermint ice cream is fantastic!) Tillamook and Seaside provided daytime excursions, but returning to VillaView was always the highlight. Having breakfast with Haystack Rock and going to sleep with the sound of the ocean, turned our time into the most relaxing vacation ever. (My husband even read a whole book of 420 pages…a first!)
